“Whatever your action is to be, it is evident you must act NOW. You cannot act in the past…and it is essential you dismiss the past from your mind. You cannot act in the future, for the future is not here yet.”

– Wallace Wattles From The Masterful Way, Chapter 5. Available at…

WE are all One.  Everything in the universe is within you.  Ask all from yourself.  – Rumi

The first of two Primary Laws of the Universe is the Law of Divine Oneness.   The following excerpt begins to draw our attention to the truth of this Law.

The Masterful Way is intentional and conscious Co-Creating with the Infinite Oneness the Universe or Energy. As we intentionally manifest our desires, God, or the Universe, is experiencing desire through us, Co-Creatively. The Oneness we share with the Universe is our Being; the creative is what gives us our divinity. As each one of us is a unique expression of the Oneness of Energy in the Process of Being, no two people, no two expressions of the Universe, ever experience the same creative unfolding. All desires are different and all desires manifesting and manifested are the steps we take along the never-ending Way of Mastery.

The Masterful Way – Chapter 2

Today, how can you expand your understanding about the Oneness of all things? If you can connect with just one more element, one more person, one more situation in this idea of Oneness, you will have evolved not only yourself, but the entire Universe.

Too Small Stuff

Too Small

There are many ideas in your mind which you have outgrown, and which, from force of habit, you still permit to dictate the actions of your life. Cease all this; abandon everything you have outgrown. There are many ignoble customs, social and other, which you still follow, although you know they tend to dwarf and belittle you and keep you acting in a small way. Rise above this.

Wallace Wattles

“All of us have it and pretend we don’t. All of us hold on to it and pretend we aren’t. All of us are reluctant to do anything about it and none of us knows why.

“Face it; it takes work to clear it all out. So we keep it, letting it slip quietly into the background; out of sight but not quite out of mind. We will get to it all someday, we tell ourselves, just… not today… maybe later. Tomorrow, perhaps, we will finally get rid of all of those things that are too small for us; those things we never quite get around to cleaning out properly.

What’s Too Small?

“So what exactly is this plaque; this granular energy-sucking sticky stuff that is too small for us? On a broader scale, and simply put, it’s more junk. Junk like self-judgment and negative self-talk. Junk like little patterns of behaviour that do not suit the image of the self you are Being. Junk like making others wrong just to be right about something. Junk like the egoic road chosen over the spiritual one. Junk like apologising for who you are now; apologising for your true Being.

“It’s guilt. It’s negative energy. It’s anxiety. It’s the people you keep in your life that no longer need to be there. It’s bits of unforgiveness. It’s pieces of anger. It’s taking offence. It’s allowing your power to be taken from you or giving it away. It’s laziness – that’s a big one. It’s procrastination. That one is too. It’s inefficiency. It’s complaining. It’s competition. It’s arrogance. It’s not taking care of yourself. It’s junk food and poor diet. It’s depression. Boredom. Grumpiness. Limitation. Inaction. False action. Condemnation. Disbelieving, dis-allowing, dis-engaging. Wishing. Wallowing. Whining.

“I could go on and on… You get the picture I am sure. A little overwhelming if you think about it and how much support we are giving those things which are too small for us by simply ignoring them, of not noticing them, and the procrastination of not doing anything about them. And, that’s just the junk that may be discerned without much effort. Those things with even a modicum of presence could be sifted out of our ether. I am very certain most of us have as much junk, if not more, below the surface. Unconsciously. And it’s getting in our own way just as clearly, if not more so, than the junk we can see and hear.

“There are several reasons why it is so important to understand and to sift out the stuff that is too small for us as it relates to manifesting who we are Being. The first is we cannot move into fully Being the manifestation of our desires in a polluted environment. That will just keep us stuck. …

“Let’s try an example. Something general. Let’s say the person you are Being is the physical manifestation of a more successful, happier You. What’s too small for that person is complaining about your family to your co-workers and complaining about your co-workers to your family. It is keeping alive some resentment you have against a friend. It is holding on to self-deprecating dialogue that wouldn’t or couldn’t be said about the picture of the person you are Being. It is the competition of being right all the time and not allowing for another person’s perspective. It is the non-empowering and uninspired language you use with yourself and others that puts the skids on developing better relationships.

“I’m not saying that you won’t manifest your Being until all of the things that are too small for you are all cleared out. What I am saying is to get started on it now with Action. Nothing happens without it. It’s all about the action-oriented steps forward on the road of Mastery.

“Each step is an Action or a Cause, the Effect of which will propel you forwards. But you don’t want your next steps to be trod through the mud. You’ll just track muck all over the very house you are trying to clean up. With each step, whom you are Being is being set free. Your atmosphere begins to change. Your biology begins to shift. The load gets lighter. So, what is your junk? What is weighing your down? What are you apologising for? What are you waiting for? What would being rid of it feel like?”

Today, can you identify and rid yourself of one thing, one idea, one image, one word, one something that is too small for you?

Evolving, Are We?

“…the only desire of the Universe is to grow and evolve. It is desire through which the Process evolves more Life in whatever form into which It manifests. It is this same Process which desires to be expressed uniquely through each one of us. And, it is this Process which initiates all of our own desires within us. Through our desires made manifest we evolve into who we are all here to Be… As a result, this Process the Universe grows and expands more Life. Simply put, desire is the Process of the Universe seeking to experience and express more Life through us; to evolve. “

                                                                        The Masterful Way, Chapter 1

Each and every day is calling for us to evolve, to grow and to Be more of Life through our Actions, our desires and our successes.  What are you evolving through your Life today?  What is the Universe desiring to evolve through you?  And, the bigger question, are you Being all you can Be to Co-Create that desire?

Being Grateful

First, you believe that there is one intelligent substance, from which all things proceed. Second, you believe that this substance gives you everything you desire. And third, you relate yourself to it by a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.

Wallace Wattles

I usually get up fairly early and these days, that means it’s dark when I manage to make it to the kitchen to start the kettle.  Lately, nearly every morning now, I am privileged to experience one of the most amazing sounds in the Universe, to my mind.  That of flocks of geese, flying over the house, calling to each other in the barely emerging light.  As it is becoming more frequent, it can only mean one thing.  Autumn is on its way, which happens to be my favourite time of year.

There are other signs, too.   The leaves on certain trees are just beginning to show signs of yellow and sugary red.  Acorns are beginning to drop from the oak trees and the squirrels are stepping up their game of collecting, hiding, and forgetting them.  The shadows are growing longer and the days are growing shorter.  The nights are getting cooler and the duvets are coming out of the closets where the spent a few summer months in their own form of hibernation.  And, all of this makes me very grateful.

Grateful for those honking calls which, by paying attention to them, I get to Co-Create along with the Universe.  Grateful for the turning leaves which will soon make their descent.  Grateful for the lengthening shadows and the cooler air.  All of it.

Be grateful for the weather, the sun, the moon, the chill in the air. Be grateful for the seasons, the sounds of the birds, the soft patter of rain. When you drive to work, notice and be grateful for the trees and shrubs that line the roads. Be grateful for the commute itself, for providing the opportunity to see those trees in that exact place on that particular road. Be grateful for the road, too. You can even be grateful for the traffic because it allows you time to sit in it and practice being grateful.

The Masterful Way – Chapter 17

So, as a challenge to you, find something to be grateful for every day and practice the art of gratitude.  I can guarantee you will notice how differently you feel if you keep it up.  Gratitude will change your world.

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” —Zig Ziglar

“All of us live through our Maps. All of us act and react according to our Maps. Maps are the programming in our sub-conscious and, sometimes, unconscious brains that cause us to react a certain way to a certain stimulus. We receive the stimulus, we have a response, and it gets us a familiar result. As long as the result is the result we are trying to achieve, we don’t have to pull out and examine our Map and the result it gets us. It is when we are not getting the result we are trying to achieve that the Map attached to that particular result needs updating. For the purposes of Being, we need to Master our Maps.”

“Here is another truth about Maps. All Maps are an artifact of the past. Maps are comprised of past thinking, past life-lessons, past emotional experiences, past relationships, etc. All of the Maps we are operating from are formed and moulded from past stuff. Therefore, since Maps inform our reality, our reality is consumed by the past.”

A life without cause is a life without effect, 4k, violet brick wall, Paulo Coelho Quotes, neon text, inspiration, Paulo Coelho, quotes about life

Desire creates the need for a Cause. Action produces said Cause. Those Causes will produce Effects by Law. Now, here are two truths about the Cause and Effect that many of us get sort of bent out of shape. The first truth is the desire is not the Cause. Desire is the urge to produce a Cause. Causes come from inspired Actions, such as your ask and declaration of Being. Belief, non-resistance and Being the one with the object of desire are some more of the basic Actions or Causes. This is what is meant by phrases such as “a leap of faith”, or “a step of faith”. Leaping and stepping are Actions. It is also the Action of getting to the OK-mindset of how you are situated within the current context. Each action builds belief; Cause and Effect. As the Causes build up, so do the Effects and the manifestation of desire is achieved. Simply put, you cannot have a desire and sit on your hands waiting for it to appear. This idea lacks Action or Cause and, in that case, it is nothing more than wishing.”

From The Masterful Way – The 5-Steps of Being the Well-Manifested Life, Chapter 3

The truth about wanting it all…

We on this journey of self-discovery and self-expression have all stumbled on this one. We see something we desire and, being the powerful manifestors we are, we try to jump ahead and manifest our luscious, sweet and juicy desire before we are ready for it. When you put the cart-before-the-horse, there are consequences. You get a pissed-off horse with a bruised nose and a cart that no longer works the way it’s supposed to. In short, you make a mess you will need to clean up before moving on.

– The Masterful Way, Chapter 7The Mastery of a Clean House, The 5-Step Process”

“All I ever wanted was everything…” And, everything means different things to different people. Though, are you completely, 100 percent clear on what you desire?  Are you grounded in the Being who is fully ready to receive the desire of that which is the next step of your unique and individualised expression of the Universe?

At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie.

Paulo Coelho

The Universe works in a certain way. It doesn’t consciously pick and choose the way It works; It can’t. Whatever you believe about the power of your own Being-ness, the Universe will respond to it in kind by Law. So, intentional Mastery involves creating a space to evolve into more powerful and greater manifestor’s who wisely and deliberately use the Universal Laws, Co-Creating with It. This is the essence of Being. This is The Masterful Way.
